HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING IN OUR COMMUNITY!

Why Our Members Love Training Here (Part 2)

Reason #2: Programs

Last week we introduced our “Why Our Members Love Training Here” series. I discussed coaching and why our members love having a coach at every workout. You can read that blog here. This week I want to shift to what we deliver. We deliver our training programs in two methods:

1. Individually through one on one personal training (and sometimes semi-personal training).

2. Group training in sessions that range from 4-14 members.

Programs: Personal Training

Our members love personal training for the individual attention, flexibility, personalization, and direct support.

Members that want to accomplish their goals as fast as possible, choose personal training.

There’s just no substitute for a personalized plan and the undivided attention of a coach who knows you well.

In a personal training program, a coach finds out about your goals and creates a path and process for you to get there. It’s tailored to you and you alone.

For example, you might say things like this:

“I prefer dumbbells to barbells.”
“My left knee gives me trouble when squatting.”
“I only have 35 minutes a day to train.”
“I want to shave 10 minutes off my time in the race in three months.”

In our sessions, the coaches will make sure you’re moving properly and at the right intensity, everytime. They will provide accountability and encouragement, and you’ll get immediate answers to any questions during your session. The coach is all yours.

With personal training, you also get to forge a long-term relationship with a pro who knows you. This is much like seeing the same doctor for years. The more the doctor knows about you, the better the care they can provide. As a trainer gets to know you and your exercise history, the training plans become better and better, and you’ll build a lot of momentum.

Personal training also allows you great flexibility: You can book sessions at times that are convenient for you.

All that attention and convenience comes with a higher price tag, but when you’re getting amazing results fast, you’ll realize the service is a great investment.

Programs: Group Training

Our members love group training for the environment and price. They feed off the energy in a group setting and love chasing thier goals with their peers around.

In a group session, the times are set—members love that we offer daily options, Monday through Saturday. Including mornings, middays, and afternoons/evenings. (Check out our group schedule here).

You’ll also get individual attention in a class, but the trainer’s time is divided among the participants, so you don’t get as much attention as you would with PT.

The programming in a group session is designed to help people move toward general goals, and everyone is doing a version of the same workout for the day. We do a fantastic job to adjust the workout for you to reflect your current skills and abilities, but it won’t always result in a 100 percent personalized workout.

Don’t worry: You can still accomplish your goals in a group setting. Our strength-and-conditioning program is very effective, but you must show up on a regular basis. We set a goal for our clients of at least 3 workouts a week. And if you ever want more attention, you can book PT sessions, too.

Group memberships are priced below personal training, which makes them a better fit for some people.

How to decide which program is right for you.

We’ve offered personal training and group training for the 6 years we’ve been in business. Both programs have helped hundreds of people reach their goals, change habits, and improve thier wellbeing. That’s what matters and that’s another reason why members not only love training here, but love to do so for years.

If you aren’t a member yet. Which program is better for you and your goals?

Here are some questions we consider when meeting for a fitness consultation:

What do I want to accomplish?

How fast do I want to get there?

Can I do it alone? Do I prefer to learn privately or in a group?

One final note. We have every new member complete 3-5 personal training sessions at a minimum. We call these “Kickstart” sessions. They help prepare new members for group training or help determine if it makes more sense to continue with personal training and the perks that come with it.
