Employment & Growth
This is a part-time W-2 position with hourly compensation.
We’re building the semi-private program as a core part of Fort Worth Strong’s future, and we want coaches who are interested in growing with it.

Personal Trainer
ABOUT THE ROLE
Fort Worth Strong is looking for a motivated Personal Trainer who wants to build a career in coaching.
This position is designed for a coach who wants more than a place to train clients. You’ll join an established coaching system, receive ongoing development and mentorship, and have the opportunity to build a full client schedule through Fort Worth Strong.
You do not need to bring an existing book of clients.
Most new coaches build their client schedule over their first 90–120 days. Coaches who demonstrate greater availability, reliability, participation, and strong client service typically have the greatest opportunity to grow their schedule.
What You’ll Do
As a Personal Trainer, you’ll be responsible for delivering an individualized coaching experience from the moment a client joins Fort Worth Strong.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coach personal training sessions with a high level of attention, professionalism, and energy
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients
- Manage client communication, including scheduling and general membership questions
- Track client progress and adjust training appropriately
- Follow Fort Worth Strong’s programming system and coaching standards
- Maintain accurate client and training information within our software
- Participate in coach development, team meetings, and continuing education
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional training environment
- Contribute to the overall client experience and culture of Fort Worth Strong
What Fort Worth Strong Provides
You focus on becoming an exceptional coach. We provide the infrastructure around you.
- Clients and qualified leads
- Programming systems and templates
- Scheduling and client-management software
- Paid onboarding and training
- Ongoing coach education
- Career and coaching mentorship
- Team meetings and professional development
- A defined path toward increased responsibility and full-time coaching opportunities
Employment & Growth
This is a W-2 position beginning part-time, with compensation based on sessions coached.
Our intention is to develop the right coach into a larger role as their client schedule, capabilities, and responsibilities grow.
A typical new coach builds their book over approximately 90–120 days, although the pace depends heavily on availability, participation, client demand, performance, and retention.
We’re looking for someone who wants to build something here—not simply pick up a few training sessions.
Programming & Coach Development
We don’t expect new coaches to figure everything out on their own.
New coaches receive programming systems, templates, education, and mentorship designed to create a consistent standard of coaching across Fort Worth Strong.
As coaches demonstrate technical competency, sound decision-making, and an understanding of our training methodology, they earn greater programming autonomy and responsibility through our Coach Development Ladder.
Our goal isn’t to control how great coaches coach. It’s to develop great coaches and give them increasing responsibility as they demonstrate they’re ready for it.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum qualifications:
- Personal training certification from a recognized organization OR a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to coach exercise safely and effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional, dependable, and punctual
- Willingness to learn and operate within Fort Worth Strong’s coaching system
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
- At least one year of professional coaching experience
- Experience working with adult personal training clients
- Desire to develop coaching as a long-term career
What Success Looks Like
Great coaches at Fort Worth Strong do more than write workouts and count reps.
They communicate well. They show up prepared. They take ownership of their clients. They care about the environment around them. They continue learning. And they understand that consistency in the small things creates an exceptional client experience.
If that sounds like the kind of coach you want to become, we’d like to meet you.
